# UI3 integration of #466 PR: https://github.com/chhoumann/PodNotes/pull/468 Branch: `feat/ui-settings` Head: `17b5bca50ec18c8a8ee82e607804dbb61cce5e03` Parents: `23217bb12d8691d368a1ce602c80aca0dc7a20d0` and `35461cd0b6927f3e43f17b708bdcc65a2873da39`. ## Resolution Merged `origin/master` without rebasing. Four conflicts were resolved: - Player verification guide: keep #466's accessible skip controls and UI3's renamed auto-queue setting. - Timestamp verification guide: keep #466's Undo contract and UI3's Timestamp template label. - Playback rates: keep #466's hundredths normalization and UI3's `PLAYBACK_RATES` constant. - Journey input: keep #466's keyboard event representation and Space key; retain UI3's Tab key for text completion. CaptureService merged cleanly. Its final contents equal #466 byte-for-byte except for the original UI3 label substitution in the missing-template notice: `Capture timestamp format` becomes `Timestamp template`. This is the previous two-line diff, one deletion and one insertion. It remains necessary because Settings renamed that row. The snapshot-equality Undo, success notice, refusal text, and disposal are unchanged. The player rate menu now imports `PLAYBACK_RATES` from `src/utility/playbackRate.ts`, as the Default speed dropdown already does. The shared list is `0.75, 1, 1.25, 1.5, 1.75, 2`. Existing custom default speeds still appear as an extra dropdown option without rewriting data.json on open. The focused-edit debounce fix is unchanged. Quitting or reloading inside its 500 ms debounce window remains the accepted residual. ## Validation Node 22.23.2 on Linux. Commands use `TMPDIR=/data/home/tmp/podnotes-ui3 fnm exec --using 22 -- ...`. | Command | Result | | --- | --- | | `npm run lint` | Pass | | `npm run format:check` | Pass | | `npm run typecheck` | Pass | | `npm run build` | Pass | | `npm run test` | Pass: 121 files, 2,525 tests; both Svelte checks have zero errors and warnings | | `npm run test:tooling` | Pass: 2 files, 13 tests | | `npm run docs:build` | Pass: 18 pages, all 112 legacy fragments resolve | | `npm run size` | Pass: 310,775 raw bytes, 98,183 gzip9 bytes | | `npm run test:e2e` | Pass: 22 files, 166 tests in 577.39 seconds, fresh vault | The full suite passed on this exact head in real Obsidian 1.14.4 on headless Linux, in the newly provisioned isolated vault `podnotes-feat-ui-settings`. Fixtures were local `http://podnotes.test:` feeds and vault media files seeded by the harness. The full suite was required because the merge also changed the shared harness and runtime tests beyond capture, player and settings. It includes snapshot-equality Undo and every refusal journey, player journeys, native Settings search, one write per typing burst, and focused edits through app quit/restart and renderer reload. No unexpected runtime errors were reported. The runner stopped its instance after the suite; the subsequent stop dry run found no processes. ## Size Both builds use the same locked dependencies, Node 22 and the repository's production build and Node gzip9 size script. Master was exported inside this bound worktree and built separately, with this worktree's node_modules linked. The isolated Obsidian vault always uses the integration build at the worktree root. | Build | Raw bytes | Gzip9 bytes | | --- | ---: | ---: | | `origin/master` 35461cd0 | 316,148 | 98,927 | | Merge 17b5bca5 | 310,775 | 98,183 | | UI3 delta | -5,373 | -744 | 1,817 gzip bytes remain below the 100,000-byte gate. See `bundle-comparison.json` for SHA-256 digests. ## Evidence `gates.mjs` runs the seven checks and size; `gates.log` records every exit code. Each command has its own `gate-*.log` file. `full-e2e.log` records the runtime suite. `integration-source.patch` isolates the source integration against #466, and `merge-delta.patch` records the complete change from 23217bb. `capture-resolution.txt` records the exact CaptureService comparison, which `check-capture.mjs` can rerun. `merge-resolution.patch` is git's remerge diff. `final-stop-dry-run.log` confirms no isolated Obsidian processes remain.
